A campfire will break through the winter cold next week in an effort

to collect food for needy families in Kalkaska. The second annual Kampout For KAIR

will be held March 9th and 10th at the Bill Marsh auto dealership in Kalkaska.

Starting at 5 p.m. on that Friday and running for 24-hours, a campground atmosphere will

take over the car dealership and a food drive will be held to support the Kalkaska Area

Interfaith Resources (KAIR). The goal will be to collect…

A public vote will begin Thursday to determine which area artists

were able to turn a hidden treasure into the best valued work of art. It’s a part of the

Goodwill Reinvention Convention.

Artists have been challenged to work with items they found at the Goodwill Store and

create pieces of art out of them. The winner will be determined by a public vote that

begins at a free public reception Thursday at Bill Marsh Hyundai starting at 5 p.m. Art
