The Toys for Tots kick off is Saturday at the Great Wolf Lodge starting at Noon. Santa flies in on a Coast Guard helicopter and it's great for the kids (and big kids) to see. He visits with the kids, Christmas Carol singing, refreshments, face painting, visit with police tracking dog, see radio and TV personalities. A great way to start the holiday with the kids. Bring your dirty car to the Old Town Playhouse car wash tomorrow. It's being hosted at Bill Marsh on Garfield and support the Children's Theater. You can also test drive a new Hyundai from 11 am - 2 p.m. and Bill Marsh will donate $5 to the kids.

When Philip Lieffers (Leefers) of Traverse City purchased a new Saturn Astra from Saturn of Traverse City in December, little did he know that he was becoming a part of Saturn’s corporate history. Lieffers was recently informed that he had purchased the 4-millionth car from the Saturn manufacturer.

Lieffers was the guest of honor today during a noon luncheon that included a parade of Saturn cars and gifts from both Saturn of Traverse City and Saturn Corporation.
