A clothing drive will provide cold-weather gear to Safe Harbor, which will in turn distribute it to needy people in Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Benzie counties.

The Bill Marsh Clothing Drive is in its third year and is seeking new and used coats, hats, gloves. boots and socks. Drop-off boxes are set up at Bill Marsh locations on Garfield Avenue and U.S. 31 South. Clothing can also be dropped off at the Bill Marsh center on Barlow Street in Traverse City and at Dan McCormick's Ford dealership in Kalkaska.

Safe Harbor is a cooperative arrangement with area churches that offers homeless people to have a safe place to sleep and warm meals.
