Changing Lives

Every customer that I speak to at J.D. Byrider has a different set of circumstances that has lead them into our showroom. Some of them have lost their job, others have been through a divorce, or had a medical emergency that has started the bad credit ball rolling.

I want to share a success story with you, a success for the customer and for J.D. Byrider. The couple that I am going to speak about actually came from a cold call that I made (one of hundreds since we have opened!). It took me 2 months to get them in, they said that they were saving for a down payment, I was skeptical. When they finally arrived, they had their down payment in hand, all of the documentation that I requested that they bring, and, as they told me, little hope of getting a car. They were a middle aged couple, he worked at a convience store on the midnight shift, and she was disabled with a back problem that caused her constant pain. These people had been walking everywhere that they went for the last 3 years! As we went through the program, I could see that they were getting excited, but trying not to. They had been let down before, and they didn't want to get to excited just to have it happen to them again. They wanted a van. Not because they needed the room for themselves, but because a lot of their friends in the complex where they live don't have cars, and they wanted to be able to take them out for picnics in the summer, so they wanted the extra room to accomodate them.

We were able to get them into a fully loaded, very nice van. A vehicle that they can afford, that will allow them to do all of the things that they want to do, and get them where they need to go. The gentleman could hardly contain his happiness, and his wife was holding back tears as she walked out to their new van. These people walked everywhere for 3 years, and because they were able to purchase the van, their lives have changed!
