One day after GM announced the phase out of the Pontiac brand, TV 7&4 recieved multiple emails from worried Pontiac owners wondering about parts availability.
Rest assured, the last thing every Pontiac owner has to worry about is replacement parts.
For one, we're not talking about some small niche brand with a few hundred vehicles out there. With hundreds of thousands of Pontiacs across America, your car will rust inside-out before GM stops making parts. Plus, every Pontiac made shares nearly all of its components with other GM makes--even Toyota makes parts for the Pontiac Vibe--and and I don't envision either shutting its doors anytime soon.
Between the credit crunch, middle east peace, the artic ice bergs, and spring ever returning to northern Michigan, there are plenty of things to worry about. But when it comes to parts for your Pontiac, relax...you're in good hands!
