J.D. Byrider is a different type of car lot. Of course we want to sell cars, but we go about it differently. Our focus is on helping the customer to advance, to improve their credit, and to provide them with a vehicle that meets all of their needs. If purchasing a vehicle is not going to help the customer to better their situation, we will not put them in a car, but we don’t just turn them away. We give them a roadmap to follow to get them to where they need to be in order to qualify for our program.
The stigma that is attached to the buy here pay here industry is harsh. You would think that this would be an obstacle for us, but I see it as just the opposite. With so many people having bad experiences at the other buy here pay here lots, it’s sad to say, but it actually works to our benefit. When I sit down with someone that has had the experience of buying from one of the predatory buy here pay here places, you can see the fear and skepticism on their face. As I educate them on our program, you see their faces changing, getting more comfortable and smiling with relief. They know that what we are offering is different. They know that they are going to be driving a reliable vehicle that they can afford and feel confident that we are going to stand behind that car and be there to help them through the entire process.
I’ve sold cars for 5 years and have enjoyed it. But I have got to say that working with J.D. Byrider is different. Now I help people and the selling of a car is a byproduct of the program. I see how truly relieved and happy my customers are, and that makes me feel great!
